life is back pain

i once heard a scientist in a documentary about evolution refer to the human spine as an “architectural nightmare” and then procede to explain why every back is a bad back. it was so validating.

I adjusted my bra straps wrong one day and I’ve been in a ridiculous amount of pain for the past week.

my anthropology professor made us do a paper arguing against intelligent design based solely on the anatomy of the human back. he was also a chiropractor part time.

the whole “walking upright” thing was a bit of a rush job

The feet, too! And because the feet haven’t developed fully for upright walking, the back ends up getting worse over time from the compensating we naturally do for those stupid, shitty FEET! It’s all junk, honestly, the whole bod. Whole machine is barely functioning at all times. Very MacGuyver design strategy across the board.
